We are now living in the Age of Water. Water is the new “gold”, with individuals, corporations and countries positioning themselves around this precious resource. Water is changing everything. The Age of Water Podcast covers anything of interest from breaking environmental news to evergreen material. In this episode of Age of Water, we join Canadian author Merilyn Ruth Liddel in Calgary, Alberta, where she talks about her latest speculative book Tomorrow, her love for trees and her eco-activism in her community of Crowsnest Pass.
Merilyn Ruth Liddell lives in Crowsnest Pass in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. She has been creating stories all her life, but didn’t pen any of them until she retired from a career as an early-years teacher. When she is not hiking, birdwatching, snowshoeing, working in her yard, reading, or volunteering for the local art gallery or conservation society, she writes. Tomorrow is her first novel.
Merilyn says this about herself on her website: “I have been writing since I discovered I could in Grade One—mostly poems and personal essays. In Grade Three I earned accolades from my teacher for my use of the comma. Little of note happened since then in my writing career until I retired from teaching and decided to write a novel. When not hiking, birdwatching, snowshoeing, working in my yard, reading or volunteering, I write.”
